Built by a climber, for climbers.
Works with Apple Watch, with support for more wearables on the way.
For climbers who want more direction.
You've been climbing for a while. You show up, try hard, and want to improve. But most sessions look much the same, and you're not sure what to change.
ClimbMax helps you put it into practice: keep your climbing, strength, and finger training in one log, or add a training plan with sessions laid out for you. Then look back at what you actually did.
Understanding your training load.
When is the right time to push, and when should you hold back? Are you doing too much, or not enough to keep improving? ClimbMax compares your last 7 days with your usual load over the last 6 weeks, so you can see whether you are building up, holding steady or overdoing it.
Finger Load: understand how fatigued your fingers are from all your hangboarding and climbing sessions combined. Muscular Load: shows how your body is reacting to your training as a whole. It combines every completed session, from strength work to climbing and finger training.
Start with your next session.
Climbing logs, strength and finger training, your session calendar, progress charts, Finger and Muscular Load, saved gyms and crags, and ClimbMax for Apple Watch are free. From Apple Watch you can start today's planned session, run the work and rest timer, tick off sets, log boulders and routes, and finish with an effort rating. Log V-scale and Font grades for bouldering, or French and Yosemite grades for sport climbing. Finger training sets run on a timer, and you can get a reminder for your upcoming training and choose when ClimbMax notifies you in notification settings.
Want a training plan too?
ClimbMax Premium creates structured training plans from your level, goals, and available training days. Weekly check-ins let you adjust the plan based on how training feels. Plans aren't individually written or reviewed by a coach.
Training plans require a monthly or annual subscription. You'll see the current price and any trial offer in the app before subscribing.
